Student Reception Desk

Preston Lodge Learning Foundation runs our Student Reception Desk, providing S2 students with the opportunity to practice their communication skills and learn about first impressions.

A scheduled rota ensures all students across S2 have the opportunity to undertake learning on the student reception desk for a day.

Tasks undertaken include:

• Meeting and greeting visitors to the school
• Issuing visitor badges
• Directing visitors
• Online learning tutorials, around creating a first impression, eye contact, body language and how to be a good receptionist
• Working on unfamiliar tasks with one another
