Chess Champion Top Scot U800

We are so proud of Daniel, S6 Student at Preston Lodge.  

Daniel won the Top Scot U800 Chess Finals held in Motherwell, on Saturday 18^th January.  

The Top Scot is a national tournament with qualifiers throughout the year leading to the final with the best players from across Scotland. It is an amazing accomplishment and Daniel’s first ever chess tournament. 

Our chess programme at Preston Lodge will continue to support Daniel and others to fulfil their potential.

Daniel won a trophy and £300 for his hard work.
